Hiring is one of the most critical business functions for every organization. The quality of talent a company hires directly influences the success of the business they build.


Yet despite its importance, most organizations struggle to get hiring right. A big reason for this is that traditional screening methods—like resumes and credentials—focus on surface-level qualifications rather than real skills, leading to overlooked talent and poor hiring decisions.


To solve this, our team spoke extensively with hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates to understand their biggest challenges and opportunities.

These insights helped us define a solution to make true talent more discoverable in the hiring process. We identified that employers needed a faster, fairer, and more predictive way to evaluate candidates, while candidates wanted to prove their skills beyond credentials.


The result was a skills-based assessment platform that replaced subjective guesswork with objective, job-relevant data. Hiring managers could create customized assessments in minutes and receive actionable insights within hours—helping them identify top talent with greater confidence and shorten time-to-hire.


As the solo designer, I led all customer discovery and prototyping, defining the platform’s core experience. I designed key surfaces, including assessment creation flows, candidate profiles, pipeline analytics, and candidate-facing assessments—empowering hiring teams with stronger data for faster, better decisions.
