Most people want to know what’s going on in the economy, because it affects them at work, at home, and in their investment decisions. But even though we have unlimited access to economic news, keeping up with the endless headlines, opinions and jargon makes it hard to get a clear, fact based view of what’s happening and the context for why it matters.
While countless apps exist for tracking individual stocks, there isn't really a great solution for monitoring broader economic indicators like inflation, employment, and growth—despite these factors directly impacting markets and daily life.
Although most economic data is publicly available, it's typically buried in dense government reports and scattered across dozens of sources.

Vada is designed to provide unified data access, intuitive visualization, and contextual intelligence. The app brings together economic indicators from multiple sources into a single searchable platform, helping users transform complex economic information into something accessible and actionable for everyone from professional analysts to curious consumers.
Currently in development, I designed the entire app from user onboarding to economic data tracking. Key features I designed included:
Data Cards – Different visual formats for presenting economic data clearly
Watchlists – Save and organize economic indicators they want to track over time
Data Feeds – A curated real-time stream of macroeconomic data, trends and discovery tools
Search - Natural language prompts that return text and interactive visualizations
